This is a redirect blog.

I have decided to move to a new URL because I kept confusing myself. When I first set up the URL, I wanted something shorter, but I keep using "Gaming The Credit System" in other contexts, so it makes sense to consolidate. Please visit GamingTheCreditSystem.blogspot.com in the future.

This should be interesting. I assume that you are going to give tips on how to maximize the return on your credit cards while not falling into the traps that most people do (carrying a balance, going deeply into debt, etc)? If this is in fact what you are doing, could you include a rough estimate on how much time you spend doing this? I think that is important. I've seen people focus so much on "beating the system", (be it with credit cards or discount shopping or whatever) but they don't realize they are saving about $3 per hour of work.

I haven't paid a cent in credit card debt in 10 years, but I've collected about $300 per year in cash back. I do all of this with absolutely no effort. The question that I've wondered, however, is this: Does using a credit card cause me to spend at least $300 more per year? To be honest, I think it does. So in the end I'm probably losing out.

Anyway, I look forward to your blog.

Well, yes, I do utilize my credit cards more wisely than most, but my main concern here is with increasing one's credit score (FICO score). I will make some posts regarding credit card usage and how to get the best rewards, etc., but mostly the blog will focus on the credit score, along with other generic personal finance subjects.

I welcome your comments at the real blog at gamingthecreditsystem.blogspot.com.
